On the Road Again--Day 3 part 2

Damn it's late. I don't know what keeps me up at night, boredom is the easiest excuse but since when does that not put you to sleep? We got dank Thai food for dinner tonight, and we had a good gig... I don't think I played as well as last night, and I'm not sure why. Could be something personal, could be something to do with the crowd, could be totally in my head. There's no recording, so I guess I'll never know. The audience really dug it, Cyril has been featuring me a lot and it's nice to get recognition.

It's time to finish packing my bags and get the minimal amount of rest in order to sleep through the van ride tomorrow morning. I call it teleportation--when I deprive myself of sleep before travel, I end up magically (groggily) appearing in a new location with no time passing whatsoever. It's kind of a pain in the neck, no pun intended, to teleport in the van for long periods of time, but it's better than watching the interstate go by. It didn't work (for obvious reasons) on the 24 hour ride from Austin to Charleston, but if at first you don't succeed, teleport teleport again.

Gotta run & pack....
